Folk Music Nonprofit Looking For Exceptional Artists  6/29/2006

If you are a "player" and are looking for increased exposure:

efolkMusic is a nonprofit, "filtered" web site that received 990,000 page views last month from more than 6,000 visitors a day.  These visitors are folk music fans and players from all over the world, trying to find quality music, familiar artists and the next Bob Dylan or Woody Guthrie. Are you interested in reaching out to these folks?

Our mission is to promote good music and the artists who create it, any way we can. Our new artist interface gives members complete control over their product sales and distribution- it's a musician's self-publishing application that lets you present yourself in the best way possible.  No forms to fill out - just send us a link to where your music can be heard.

If you are a fan of the "mighty fine" music, please help us find the good artists:

efolkMusic's sole purpose is to support independent and small label folk musicians- we are only as good as our artists. Check here and see if your favorite musicians are on our roster, and if they are not, please forward this email to them or write artists_at_efolkMusic_dot_org and let us know what we are missing. (Another way to support folk music is with a General Membership in efolkMusic.)

The benefits of membership - access to all efolkMusic artist services:

Artist membership is only $2.50 per month! ($30 per year)

It's simple to apply - send us a link to where your music can be heard (or send us a CD, addressed to: efolkMusic, 201 N Greensboro St, Carrboro, NC 27510 USA).  We'll get back to you, usually within 24 hours. Once you are approved, we'll send you a link to the registration area, and you can have your pages up in minutes.
