Subject: Arts Council and Channel Five

I have taken your email contact details from your website and am writing today as I have been asked by Penny King at Arts Council England to produce a document to accompany a TV programme going out on Channel 5 next month.  The programme focuses on a Community Singing project in Oxford and as follow up to the programme Channel 5 and the Arts Council want to be able to provide people who watch it with information about singing opportunities in their local area.  The document needs to be as compact as possible (it will be on the web but also printed and sent out on request) but we hope to include details of useful websites and organisations both local and national.  Below is some text and your website address which I am suggesting appears in the publication.

SOUTH EAST FOLK ARTS NETWORK offers an information, advisory, co-ordinating and networking service for the traditional arts in the region.  Their website includes a directory of festivals, performances, venues etc.

This is a very good opportunity for all our work to become better-known so I would like to be able to provide visitors to our website with as much information as possible.

In preparation for this, could you please supply me with all information you can about community SINGING opportunities around your area.
I am, sadly, still very short of information about the Oxford/Bucks part of region.

Please pass this email along to anyone you know with choirs / community singing projects / sing a-rounds / workshops etc.  and ask them to provide me with contact
details.

thanks
